Meet Garnet Moonstone, PI. She recently moved into a tiny garage apartment in the town of Twinbrook. Her work means everything to her; there is no room in her life for a husband, but perhaps a child someday - only one, mind you. She is saving all her money for a major home expansion, and to that end, she has decided to make her purchases very carefully, so she never has to sell anything she owns . She is a genious, perceptive, charismatic, friendly, and flirty.

What a great job - Garnet spends her days digging through trash....

or searching for clues.

No wonder she stays so thin - no time to cook, she survives on canned soup and cereal.

She learned to run a proper stake-out - she was always surprised when her disguises actually worked.

At least going through other sims' mail doesn't get you dirty - usually.

She graduated to picking locks...

and dusting for prints.

She prefered to use her charm to get her targets to talk. Max Racket was easy - a few flirts, and a little peck, and he folded like a napkin, giving her all the info she needed.

Sinbad Rotter was a tad more of a challenge.

But it wasn't long before he was her best informant. She knew he worked at the old criminal warehouse, but she never pried too much, as long as she got enough info to solve her case.

All Garnet's hard work was paying off. The town bought her a new car, and even gave her the key to the city.  Her bankroll was growing as well.

Even the rock star, DeAngelo Wolff, was asking for her services. She solved his case, but turned him  down flat when he asked her out. No time for dating! Too many cases to solve. He gave her one of his guitars, anyway.

And so time passed until it came time for her 35th birthday, and she started to wonder if there should be more to life than just work.  She stopped by Sinbad's to question him on a case she was working on, but he had a question for her in return.
"Why the long face, doll?"
"It's my birthday."
"So? You having a party or somethin'?"
"Are you kidding? I'm going home, filing my reports, and going to bed, like I always do."
"Aw, that's no fun. Hey, I tell ya what, come down to the Red Rondevous tonight, and I'll buy you a drink."
"I'll think about it."

When she got home, she looked at her stack of paperwork and sighed. Then she shrugged, and decided to take a night off for once in her life. She really didn't know how to dance, but she tried, and at least no one laughed.

Sinbad bought her the promised drink, plus a few more. Against her better judgement, she invited him back to her apartment.

She brought out the bottle of nectar she'd picked up at the consignment store, and poured some glasses.

It was outstanding nectar, and as she drank, she couldn't help thinking how hot Sinbad was looking tonight.

And it seemed he was thinking along the same lines..

So one thing led to another, and well..I think you can guess what happened next.

Several weeks later, Garnet was staking out the dump.
"Does that silly disguise really work?"
There was Sinbad peering at her over the top of the bushes.
"Suprisingly enough, it usually does."
"Hey, where's your fancy PI coat?"
"uh, I couldn't get it buttoned..."
"Heh, I thought you're looking a little pudgy there. Did ya eat too much birthday cake?"

"Actually, it's because I'm pregnant, smart guy."
"Hah, who's the lucky baby daddy?"
"Guess.."
"No way... uh.. I mean.. uh.. How.. I mean.. ya.. Wow.. I'm gonna be a daddy?"
The look on his face was priceless.

He calmed down a bit when Garnet assured him she didn't need any help, but that he was welome to visit her and the baby whenever he wished.
"I'll do that, doll... I promise."
